Rohan Bopanna

Rohan Bopanna (Kannada: ರೋಹನ್ ಬೋಪಣ್ಣ) (born 4 March 1980) is an Indian professional tennis player and a doubles specialist who gained worldwide recognition for his partnership with Pakistani tennis player Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi.
Bopanna, who started playing tennis when he was 11 years old, reached his career high doubles rankings on 15 November 2010 when he was ranked world no.13 by the ATP Rankings. He had previously reached his career high singles rankings of world no.213 on 23 July 2007. Rohan's breakthrough year was the 2010 season, when his pairing with Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi turned into a formidable partnership. Rohan and Aisam, started playing together as a doubles team in the middle of 2007 with the nickname - 'IndoPak Express' and went on to win 4 Challenger titles in quick succession. However, it was only in the 2010 season that the they made significant waves on the international platform and broke into the top 10 doubles teams in the world. The duo made it to the Final of the US Open, the Quarter-Final of Wimbledon, the Final of 5 ATP Tour Events and won the Johannesburg Open, all in the same year. Rohan also played a decisive role in India's 2010 Davis Cup triumph over Brazil, taking India to the World Group for the first time in 89 years.
